Proper cooling time and temperature
The 50th most-cited section of Chicago's food code over the last year.
Citations by month
Counted over Oct 14, 2025 to Oct 14, 2026. Inspection volume moves with the city's own scheduling, so a rise here is not necessarily a decline in standards.
Section numbers moved in 2018. Chicago renumbered its food code that July, so the same section number means something different in older inspections. Everything on this page is drawn from the last year only.
